I had a teacher when I was 17. He was by far the best teacher I’ve ever had. He inspired people to do better, whilst always laughing and never taking himself seriously. He looked out for people. He died of Covid very early on in the pandemic. He was only in his forties. You could see from the tributes how much he sought people out to help them, how he made them feel seen and cared for. I, and so many other people, never got the chance to say thank you.
So if you have someone you want to thank, do it now. There may be no reason to think that you don’t have plenty of time to do it, but the truth is, people die suddenly all the time.
Have you got anyone you really want to thank? I’d love to hear about it in the comments!
