When I was in Year 7, I lent someone my new sketchbook because they didn’t have one and their first art lesson was a few days before mine. I missed my first art lesson because I was ill, and the night before my next art lesson I still hadn’t got my sketchbook back from the person I lent it to, so my Dad told me to bring my sister’s sketchbook in just in case. It was one that she basically used for leisure.
The next day, I arranged to get my sketchbook back from the person, but due to a mix up I never received it. For some reason I can’t remember, the teacher asked me to open my sketchbook and she saw all the pages, and the content was so embarrassing! There were holiday lists, puzzles, a note about mice in the house, and the whole class was looking at us while she turned the pages and saw everything! She gave me a ‘warning’.
I really ‘dug’ myself into a hole on that one!
